Sick List
The list of names of people we pray for who are sick is being updated. Unless otherwise requested, names will, in future, come off the list after 4 weeks. If you feel someone should be on the new list, please speak to
Rob O'Neill (731692), Jenny Russell (738401) or one of the churchwardens.

Caddington Bears will start at the earlier time of 10.00 a.m. from the first week in May.

Child Protection Policy
All Saints Child Protection Policy is more-or-less up to date but we need someone (with internet access) to keep it that way. If there is anyone who might be prepared to take this over, please would they speak to Rob O'Neill.

Easyfundraising
It's EASY !
At the APCM and in the April Villager, Janet Armitage suggested we use easyfundraising to raise funds for the church. I registered this week and it's EASY.
Go to easyfundraising.org.uk.
Click: "I want to support …."
Choose a good cause.
Select:"All Saints Church Caddington"
Register your name & email address and start shopping. Choose a company from a very comprehensive list e.g. Amazon and you get taken to their normal website and you purchase as normal.
I got 2% All Saints donation from my recent Lakeland purchase.
Next time it will be even easier. You can if you like select a reminder option for your browser.

Caddington Bears would like help with preparing craft activities each week. One volunteer would need approximately one hour to do what was necessary to make the group run more smoothly. Volunteers would not need to be there on a Thursday but could hand over the pre-prepared bits and pieces to whoever was leading Caddington Bears that week. Details from Eleanor Pugsley (483795).

Open Gardens Day
Sunday 30th June 2013
Please contact Jill Bracken or Norman Aubrey if you are able to open your garden on the 30th June 2013. This is always an enjoyable day and Jill would like to hear from you very soon so that she can start organising the event. She would like at least 10 gardens to be open on that day. All proceeds from the day go to the All Saints Restoration Fund. Jill Bracken (721509)
Norman Aubrey (735496)

LAMP are asking groups or individuals to make a house out of whatever material you choose - no bigger than 50cm x 50cm x 50cm by Friday May 24th . The idea is to exhibit a whole village of houses somewhere in Luton to raise awareness of the serious issues of youth homelessness. Please see letter and entry form on noticeboard.

General

Villager and Website: Please remember that these vital areas of communication can only tell others what we tell them.
Steven Standering would welcome articles for The Villager.
Les Thompson would be delighted to have dates, photos, news and suggestions for the All Saints Website.
See the
Contacts Page for contact details.

At the back of church are two books- one for any prayer requests to be included in our daily personal prayers and another to record YOUR favourite hymn. The hymn requests will help as the music team plan the hymns and music for the next few months.

English Heritage require that, having received financial assistance for our repair work, we keep the church open for a certain number of hours. Visitors should contact the priest in charge or a churchwarden to arrange a visit.

Regular Giving. There are leaflets at the back of church explaining where our giving goes. Parish Share for Parish Ministry. This explains how the money is allocated. Please take a leaflet. Remember our church building costs £800 per week to run. Please consider giving regularly via envelopes or standing order. Contact Peter Graham (738470) for details.

Regular Giving Envelopes

The Regular Giving Envelopes for 2012 are now available. If you do not yet use this method of giving please consider it as it helps provide the church with a REGULAR income as an envelope is provided for each Sunday of the year. If you don't yet have a set they are available from Peter Graham (738470) but Ruth or a churchwarden will always pass your name on. There are leaflets at the back of church explaining how the scheme works. Setting up a Standing Order is an even better way of giving regularly - again contact me, Peter Graham, for details.

If you only give occasionally-please use the white envelopes provided in the pews which will enable us to claim back the tax on that individual gift. If you pay tax please Gift Aid your money.

Speak to Peter Graham (738470), or see below.

Tea & Coffee Rota

Is there anyone who would be able to help with serving coffee at the end of the 10.00am service? Please speak to Jenny (738401) if you can help.
